To insure the highest caliber of work, Calais Custom Homes undertakes the construction of a very limited number of custom homes each year. Priority is not to meet the client's expectations but to exceed them. Each person considering Calais Custom Homes is given a list of custom homes completed and is invited to call any of these homeowners. It is our belief that our past clients are our best advertising. Since 1986, the owner of Calais Custom Homes, Todd Handwerk, has dedicated himself to professionalism. As past president of the National Association of Home Builders Builder Twenty Club he remains very much involved in improving the industry. Todd holds a degree in Building Construction & Construction Management and is a Certified Master Builder.

Todd's education and experience has produced considerable recognition including articles in Builder/Architect and Professional Builder magazine, a Grand Award in the 1993 Spring Tour of Homes and Tarrant County's Builder representative for Southern Living Magazine.

Sean Coghlan
Owner/Vice President, Finance & Administration
Sean joined Calais in the summer of 2007. Sean has over 13 years experience in corporate America, most recently as the senior human resources executive for a nationwide restaurant company. He holds an MBA from the University of Iowa.

Kraig Rodgers
Project Manager  
Kraig has been with Calais since 2006 and is currently in the role of Project Manager. He has over 11 years experience in the home construction industry and is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Jim Kirpach
Project Manager
Jim joined Calais Custom Homes in 2007. He is an experienced custom home builder in North Texas and other parts of the country, most recently owning and operating Kirpach Homes and Kirpach Custom Homes.

Teresa Seamen
Client Coordinator
Teresa Seamen recently joined the Calais Custom Homes team as the Client Coordinator. She is the voice on the phone and the smiling face to greet you when you come into the office.
